The Plainsmen Association

The Plainsmen Association is a booster club established to raise funds to augment the City-run hockey program.  The Association has no direct power over the hockey program, but they attempt to work with the City Hockey Director to improve and enhance the program.

The Plainsmen Association is managed by a board of directors:

The Association plans, sponsors, subsidizes and conducts events throughout the year.  Some are of a fundraising nature, while others are informed expenditures:
  • July / August                    Sunday Summer Ice at WSA
  • Mid September                Plainsmen Family Barbecue
  • September / October      Pre-season Practice Ice
  • February                          Dinner Dance
  • February / March             Plainsmen Tournament
In addition to these events, the Association provides each Plainsmen team with $1500 for outside tournament entry fees each season.  Some proposed items for this season are power skating sessions and goalie coaching.

This website, which is used to convey team information, schedules, links to directions, and digital photos is owned, operated, maintained and funded by the Plainsmen Association.

The Plainsmen Association needs your support to continue these programs.  Anyone interested in assisting the Association or participating in a specific committee should contact a board member.
